Commerce Trade and Industry Minister, Felix Mutati says Zambia’s trade deficit recorded in the month of March can only be reduced by utilizing the regional market. Mr. Mutati stressed the need for Zambia to fully utilize the regional market.
He has called for practical measures and expansion of trade in the region. The central statistic release for the month of March indicates that the country recorded a trade deficit valued at 47.3 Billion Kwacha. This means the Zambia exported less in the Month of March than what it imported in value terms.
