

Mines Minister Maxwell Mwale said the government is now ready to start issuing licences for Uranium mining.
Mr. Mwale said mining the commodity is complex and regulations that has been put in place have taken into account all the dangers associated with Uranium mining.
The Mines Minister was speaking during a live ZNBC Radio 2 programme, Government Forum.
And Mr. Mwale said government has engaged Mining investors in the country to see how best they can develop their communities.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mwale appealed to people not to use the financial economic crisis for political gain.
He said there is need for the country to unite and support government as it tries to find solutions to the effects of the economic crunch.
